I am 100% going for a Crosstrek in 2020. Mind made. Throw some lights on it for my work and maybe some different rims/light offroad mods (only FSR level stuff) . House hunting is gonna slow down acquisition , but it will happen.

Basically this with no light bar.

What is Oppo planning on buying?

Yeah, I hate the idea of payments. Luckily the Truck (lol), Fiesta & Golf Sportwagen are paid off. The Kia is financed for business reasons (can write off interest/depreciation) and would be the vehicle that the Crosstrek replaces.

I also get a car allowance from my employer that would cover the payments, however, debt is debt and an increase in payment is money out of my pocket.

I like the W116 more (the 190D has cooling issues and a CP price) despite its auto trans.

I’d really like a newer truck that can take the family camping (late 00's Tacoma crewcab, ideally), but it’ll have to wait awhile . For now, whatever extra money I can scrape together just buys parts for the cars I have.

Right now I’d say the odds -on favorite is the Passport. Not exciting but a solid DD that can go up in the mountains. This is, of course, subject to change a few hundred times in the next 6 months.

One of my coworkers has a Passport Elite in black. Not gonna lie, it appeals to me a lot. Looks a lot better than the pilot with all the unnecessary chrome bits on there.

I’m in the exact same boat. Can’t think of anything with 4 doors (and less than $40k) that I’d rather have than my M3, and my Tacoma will be in the family for the next 15 years.

I’m going to sell my A4 in the spring as well as my Fiance’s (will be wife in 10 days) P rius and get her something a little nicer since she drives a lot in the city for work. If anyone is looking for a B7 with a 6MT and a v6 hit me up.

Probably looking at a Tiguan or something similar. Its all about aesthetics with her and it’s been hard to convince her to consider anything else. Oh well.

I’m trying to hold on to my car for at least another 4 years, but after that probably another GTI, unless something really interesting comes along. If the inline six Mazda is working on comes to fruition, I would have to consider it .

I still need to drive a Colorado, but I prefer the Chevs to Fords, to be honest. I really liked my old Silverado (shame it was a fluke order and we’ll never have another one). The new F-150 is just... meh.

I liked the Ranger, but it’s a lot of coin.

I honestly have no idea. At this point realistically the e90 won’t be replaced for a loooooong time.

The Rabbit sure isn’t going anywhere anytime soon., and my wife has to interest in changing Up her car.

The Crosstrek is a solid choice. IF my wife did want to get a new car it would be on the list. Right after an VW Alltrack, or GSW.

I love the ZR2. The fact that they can be had for the same price as an Outback at some points in the year is a huge selling point for me (even though fuel economy is way worse).

For a while I’ve bounced around getting a cheap used car as a second (third including my wife’s) vehicle for commuting/saving wear on my OBXT. Buying a house and having a daughter - and now another one coming next year - has slowed my purchasing power down pretty good, but also made it seem like more of a good idea.

I’ve pretty well narrowed it down to getting a honda fit at this point. The question will be whether I can pull it off next year or rather the beginning of 2021. At this point fixing my motorcycle and using it for commuting is probably more cost effective

The debate is whether to go new, which is just about mandatory with the Passport, or save a bit and go used with something else. I keep cars a long time so buying new has a certain appeal.

My son gets my wife’s old Rogue next year when he gets his license (God help me). So my wife will be in the market for a new car.

I suggested a used M1A1 Abrams battle tank since she dents, scratches, and beats up every damn car she’s ever owned. I figure the tank would hold up quite well in a war with the concrete pillars in my wife’s work garage.

She didn’t appreciate my practical suggestion, so who knows what God-awful vehicle she’ll pick out.I won’t have any say in the matter, that’s for sure (insert Theoden meme “You have no power here!”).

I’ve been driving one for the last two months as a loaner car while Subaru can’t seem to figure out how to fix my outback. It’s an ok car, but it’s infotainment has far more glitches than a production car has any right to have. The MPG’s have also been in the low 20’s which is shocking for a stock 2.0 Subaru.

Right now I’m set for a while, I just bought a 2014 F-150 which I’m hoping to get 10-15 years out of, and I’ll drive my beater Cobalt until it dies. At some point within the next few years I’d also like to get my ‘99 F-150 back on the road as an occasional fun driver/driving project truck. The next vehicle we’ll buy will likely be a newer crossover for my wife which will happen in 4-5 years when my truck is paid off. At that point we’ll either sell her ‘05 Escape, or I’ll trash the Cobalt and use the Escape as my new beater until it dies.

Probably nothing for the time being. We have 3 cars (A4, Prius and my 92 Range Rover) I take the train to work so we really only need one car. The range is fine for around town and stuff. Eventually I’d like to replace it with something fast and 3-pedally.

I don’t know if what I will eventually buy even exists yet. I’ll probably drive my Civic in to the ground. Since it’s a 2015 and I only have 66k in it, I probably won’t be looking for another 10 years.
